Washington State University’s Tree Fruit Research and Extension Center is presenting a Pear Psylla Field Day.
The event, from 10 a.m. to noon Pacific Sept. 21, is at the McDevitt Orchard in Peshastin, Washington.

Presentations will include the outcomes of a pear psylla phenology-based management program in the Wenatchee River Valley. The event’s goal is to present results of the most recent season and compare a conventional and IPM orchards, according to a news release.
There will be educational activities emphasizing scouting for and identification of the most effective psylla predators. Lab members will also present some current management related work.
